Description

At a distance of about 600 light years from us, LDN 673 is a beautiful dark nebula covering almost the entire degree of the sky in the constellation Aquila. The nebula is superimposed on the thick molecular clouds of the Milky Way. The dust contained in these molecular clouds scatters blue light from surrounding stars.
