Description

Spring is in full swing and what better way to celebrate than with cocoons and butterflies! I'm not just talking about this gorgeous (and also really gravitationally warped) looking galaxy and it's companion (NGC 4485) located 25 million light years away in the constellation of Canes Venatici...

Recently I took my son and daughter to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to celebrate his birthday, where they boast a very large butterfly emporium and hatchery filled with every sort of butterfly imaginable! My daughter really wanted to touch and hold the butterflies but of course you can't do that so she was quite distraught (what 11 month old wouldn't be!?). I think the butterflies felt bad for her and decided to put on a bit of a show which my mom thankfully happened to catch on video! Enjoy!
