Description

A return to lunar imaging with this attempt to capture the Rupes Recta at a good time in the cycle.  I am a little bit rusty, lol...

One of the favorite features of our moon I would venture to say.   Also, in the immediate vicinity are the impressive Arzachel, Alphonsus and Thebit craters which are all adjacent to Mare Nubium.

I did this one with a OSC camera but also used the 642 planetary filter which I believe killed any color I could have captured.  The filter is nice in that it seems to help reduce blowing out crater rims or other areas of high brightness but it also seems to flatten the image a bit.  I had attempted to combat that by dropping the gain down as low as I could go to increase dynamic range while still maintaining a good frame rate.

Not sure if that was successful but I do like the level of detail and the amount of shadow I got in the sword.

I hope you like this one and clear skies and good health to everyone, especially my good friend Robert @astropical .
