Description

M 57, the famous Ring Nebula in Lyra in 1400 ly distance. This is the result from combined data from 2020 (C9.25, 2.3 h) and 2022 (10" Newton, 2.2 h). So it is a 1:1 combination of non-spike subs from the Schmidt-Cassegrain and spike subs from the Newton, therefore the resulting spikes are hardly visible anymore.

The spiral galaxy to the top right is IC 1296. This galaxy is 260 mly away and therefore almost 200,000 times farther away than M 57... There are some other fainter galaxies hidden in the image.
