Description

This image, taken with narrow-band filters and shown in false RGB, diminishes the star-field to the extend that the structure of the super-nova remnant is revealed.  This image spans approximately 5 full-moons.   If one were to take the elliptical band of nebulosity, which forms a loop - and cap it on both sides with the Eastern and Western Veil Nebula  - the result would be a spheriod which the super-nova likely resembled early post "detonation".   The centre of the supernova event was likely somewhere in the middle/lower part of the frame within the central band.
