Description

First light using an ASI2600mc camera purchased recently with an Astrodymium Ring System and ZWO EAF for use with a Samyang 135mm lens.

It's been 3 years since I last attempted imaging this beautiful dark nebula, which lies only 450 light years away, backed by the dense star fields of the Milky Way core. Less popular than the neighbouring Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, but a fascinating nearby star-forming region nonetheless.

The Samyang 135mm was used at f/2.8, with relatively short exposures of 30 seconds exposures to help retain star color.

Thanks for looking, warm wishes, and CS.
