Description

Located in the constellation Cepheus, at a distance of 2400 AL, the Cave Nebula is an emission nebula, surrounded by dark nebulae and a reflection nebula.

The complex structure of emission nebulae and dark nebulae makes it a very interesting light sculpture.

The images – all at 420 sec – were taken in summer 22 and recently in early October 23, for a total of 22 hours.

With 3 x 15 x 45 sec of RGB stars.

The center of Sh2-155 is very well detailed, but difficult to process because of its strong luminosity.

The lack of detail in dark areas cannot be resolved with my current telescopes, but the result, although it can still be improved, is not bad for these.
