Description

NGC6822 is a low contrast neighbour and a member of the local group. It was first discovered by E E Barnard in 1884 and is seen here behind bands of integrated flux nebula. The galaxy is approx 1.6m LY distant and spans approx 7,000 LY containing roughly 10 million stars along with a large number of active star formation regions as evidenced by the Hii regions.

My version is -

Lum 139 x 300"
Red 64 x 180"
Green 58 x 180"
Blue 62 x 180"
Ha 11 x 300"
and was taken between 17-25th July. Ha has been blended into both the red and luminance channels.
