Description

These Astrobin Debut Objects are located in the constellation of Draco at a declination of +71 degrees.

The spiral at lower left is NGC 6395, located 65 million light years away.  This galaxy spans 3 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 60,000 light years.  The structure of the galaxy is poorly defined, looking like an early spiral to me.

The pair of elliptical galaxies at upper right is IC 1261.  This pair is located 10 times further away, at 650 million light years.  Each galaxy spans 0.5 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 110,000 light years. It looks to me like this pair anchors a cluster of nearby galaxies, but I could find no information on this cluster.
