Description

NGC 7293 is a planetary nebula resembling a giant cosmic eye.

located around 650 LY from us in the constellation of Aquarius.

A planetary nebula has nothing to do with a planet or moon. The incorrect name given in the 18th century

still remains as the nebula has a similarity of a giant gas planet.

In reality Planetary nebulas are stars like our sun nearing ends of their lives. They run out of fuel and fusion comes to an end resulting in ejecting of outer layers of glowing gas.

In the end remains only a small white dwarf star around the size of earth but with the mass of original star. The little white dot in the centre of gods eye nebula is a white dwarf.

Cosmic message is, nothing remains the same and nothing lasts for ever.
