Description

While I don't have my observatory set-up at my new location, I do have my portable rig.  So I thought I would test out my new sky at the Gibbston Valley, a rural location amongst the Pinot Noir grapes about 25km from Queenstown.   For the first object at my new location, I thought it would be fitting to try out the same object as the last image at my old location - albeit with a 200mm Nikon lens and not. aTS Hypergraph 8.

This time I was keen to catch the full  extent of the molecular clouds behind the Anteater - something which I have struggled with before.  5 hours at  f/2 and under Bortle 2 skies  and here is the result.  Despite the somewhat rushed set-up and  limited post-processing, I am just happy to be "on the sky" again.
