NGC 6781. I'm a sucker for a planetary nebula, so when
@LittleGhost posted an image of
this Aquila gem (thank you!), I was instantly intrigued. There were two potential obstacles to overcome. First, I think of Aquila as being a southern constellation, and thus out of reach from my yard (which generally is constrained to northern targets). Fortunately, this eagle soared more directly overhead than I realized. Second, LittleGhost imaged the target at about 600mm, and I was concerned that my 500mm focal length would not yield a worthwhile image. I'll let you be the judges of that. A little more focal length would be nice, but I'm pleased with this result nonetheless.
