Description

I made another experiment here with the Antlia Triband filter, during three nights with moon at the beginning of March 2023.
On continuum spectrum targets as the galaxy here, this filter, as expected, controls well the moon glow at the cost of a pretty strong reduction of the continuum signal, if compared with a normal light pollution filter.

Bottom line (IMHO): this triband can be used on RGB targets, especially in presence of moon or severe light pollution, but with a significant loss of continuum signal, that limits its use in this area.
Conversely, on emission nebulae and compared to a dualband, it is adding the blue component and some continuum spectrum in R and G. It is in practice merging RGB + dual-band in a single shot, that can be a great processing effort saver. Emission objects with interesting continuum are therefore its elective scope of use.

NGC925

NGC 925 is a barred spiral galaxy located about 30 million light-years away in the constellation Triangulum.
The morphological classification of this galaxy is SB(s)d, indicating that it has a bar structure and loosely wound spiral arms with no ring.
It is member of the NGC 1023 Group, a nearby gravitationally bound group of galaxies.
