Description

Had to go after the iconic Western Veil Nebula as it rises high enough by 11:45 pm now.  In this I used a straight SHO palate but with G = Ha * 0.8 + Sii * 0.2.  I took the narrowband from my backyard, (sqm 18.45), and was pleased with the capture.  Very happy with the WO81GT.   I later took RGB from my dark site (sqm 21.35) for the stars.  I noticed in the RGB image there was a bit of green.  So I decided to only remove 30% of the green from the SHO image.  I am pleased as the green shows in the faint areas.  Personally I like green!  even though I've read there is no green up there...obviously not true 😁.   Next got to get the Eastern Veil in SHO.  When I saw the entire Veil complex in @wsg's fine image #here I finally saq the spherical structure of this amazing nebula. Thanks Scott!

Description: After reading Frank's description, I created a synthetic luminance from the Ha, Oii and Sii masters resulting is slightly better detail especially of the faint stuff. Thanks Frank! https://www.astrobin.com/8okweu/
