Description

I continue to learn in this hobby all the time. This latest image opened my eyes to part of the process I was doing wrong when processing my images. I had been using BlurX after LRGB integration, and unbeknownst to me this was accentuating minor HFR differences between each color in each channel. Stars were coming out rainbow colored some times, and often there were no blue stars. I learned by applying BlurX to each channel separately you get an ideal deconvolution per channel making those HFR differences between each channel almost go away. Then LRGB combination results in way better color reproduction even on very tiny galaxies. You can see a very small blue galaxy top center here which when viewed at 100% has extraordinary detail including dust lanes, hydrogen alpha and a clear core.

As a result, I have started slowly going back into all recent images to reprocess them.
