Description

So I've used and enjoyed a 63mm Riccardi 0.75 reducer for years with The SW Esprit 120. Thing is I want to use my rotator with it too and with the reducer output passing through the rotator spacing is about 3mm too far.  The motor of the reducer ended up preventing focus when it hit the focuser body with the rotator directly on the focuser. The previous M17 and M20 images showcase the bad corners quite nicely. I use a TSRED80 0.8 reducer with the TMB 80 and decided to test it with the SW Esprit and this is a 7x180s Ha and 9x180s O3 result with that configuration.  QHY294M as in previous reent images. Corners are much better and probably good enough for mosaics now.  F/5.62 rather than F/5.22 but the setup looks viable.

An additional advantage of this configuration is off axis guiding comes back into play as there is now plenty of space for the OAG stalk to clear during rotation.
