Description

Challenging target win? or narrowband epic fail?

Trying to get the Flying Bat with the neighboring Seahorse Nebula all at once from the Bortle 7 backyard with an L-Enhance filter was going to be extra  tough. The relatively large band pass in the OIII region let me capture a lot of the dust in the area bringing out the Seahorse from the background quite well, but hidden within the Flying Bat is the Squid. It is all but invisible with the Hb signal trumping the pure OIII signal from the target.

Also, any tips for either:
1. Getting the L-Enhance to not have halos when put into a ZWO Canon-EF lens filter drawer?
2. Removing the halos in post processing?
