Description

This started out as kind of a test image with my new setup but ended up being over 18hrs of data used out of 20 hours collected. I've wanted to image this part of the sky with my 12" and this image has caused me to do so. I'll be posting it and referencing this image as this is a big helper for pushing me to go ahead and do it.

Ok so I found this with Sky Safari Pro as "Ambartsumians Knot" which is the small 14.46 magnitude group of galaxies that are bridged together by dust an debris. Lower right of this image.
Discussions with @Gary Imm clarified that its actually in the Arp catalog. Unfortunately I can't find that discussion so maybe Gary can chime in for me with the Arp designation. My thoughts are it was 105 but just not sure.
There is actually another grouping of galaxies to the top left. I framed this intentionally to get both groups in the same field of view.

THIS IMAGE IS BEST VIEWED AT FULL RESOLUTION SO GIVE IT A TRY. THERE ARE A TON OF FAINT FUZZIES IN THERE!

All data was shot with my Esprit100 and UV/IR Cut on moonless nights as these are very faint galaxies.

A side note on 2 of the nights I had 1-3 different Asteroids in the field of view. I've only be able to figure out the brightest one that was 16th magnitude and named Sumoto. I'll be processing them images just to show the asteroid trails.

Thanks for looking!

UPDATE: I WAS ASKED BY @Alan Brunelle WHAT MAGNITUDE I WAS DOWN TO AND AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I’VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND 20TH MAGNITUDE AND POSSIBLY 21ST MAGNITUDE GALAXIES.

IF ANYONE HAS A WEBSITE THAT I COULD UPLOAD MY IMAGE TO AND GET THAT INFORMATION PLEASE BY ALL MEANS REPLY SO I CAN DO THAT FOR ACCURACY.
