Description

Uranus imaged the night of October 1st with 22 minutes' worth of imaging thru a near-IR filter to improve the planet contrast. The polar cap of Uranus is quite well visible as are its four main moons Titania, Oberon, Ariel and Umbriel. Unfortunately, the transparency of the sky at my site is never very good and not sufficient to image the smallest and faintest of the visible moons, Miranda.
Color is added in the processing and similar to the visual appearance.
Details regarding the instrument and exposures can be found on the image panel.
