Description

The dominant galaxy toward the left is NGC 5921 -  an SB(r)bc morphology. It is a barred spiral with a strong ring. It's distance by independent estimate is 56.4 million light years and by redshift estimate is 76 million light years. Background galaxies to the right (PCG1277644, PGC1275985, and ASK 466800.0) are at very similar redshift distance of 602 to 607 million light years. Other ASK cataloged galaxies in the background are from 1,200 to 1,300 million light years. Quasars visible in this image are from  5.05 to 11.1 billion years (Light Lookback).  These objects, information, background galaxies and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image.
