Description

There's not a huge amount worth imaging with just a couple of hours of something approaching proper darkness - so another globular cluster it is!

I find myself asking how dark is dark enough? If I wait until the mean values settle then I'd be collecting very little data indeed and may as well give it up as a bad job until August

NGC5466 apparently has a claim to fame in that it has one of the lowest metallicities of any of the globular clusters, making it one of the oldest.

It's not particularly big, so despite not having too many luminance subs I drizzled this one and resized afterwards which gave less blocky looking star shapes. Down-side to this is keeping some subs I'd otherwise have thrown out to keep the statistics. It seemed to work OK anyhow. I got some subs the previous night as well with 2x2 RGB that were very unsatisfying so I collected 1x1 for everything this time around.

Description: After a full night sleep I reprocessed this one to see if I could make it look a bit more interesting with some more colour contrast and drop the sky background noise a bit more. It still looks like a glob - shock horror! I left this one at full resolution but saved as jpg to cut the filesize down.
