Description

My Canon 100-400mm L lens was too crappy for astrophotography so I have just ordered and received a small Tecnosky APO 360/60 telescope which is lightweight enough to be used on the Star Adventurer and cheap enough not to think too much about spending that money

But the flattener is out-of-stock for a few weeks, so my first image with my new toy has been done without any correction: I couldn't wait to see if it was an improvement compared to the zoom lens and... it is for sure!

This is a short 58min integration, but even compared to my previous photo done with a prime 135mm + 2x TC lens and more than twice the integration time, the stars are just far better looking here and also a lot easier to process and there is already more details visible in the dust clouds. Gone are the spikes as well.

Cannot wait to receive the flattener now! Very happy to have purchased this small APO telescope which should allow me to get far better images.
