Description

This galaxy is a beautiful and colorful classic spiral listed at 13.13 magnitude, and is 47 mly distant located in the constellation Coma Berenices in the Virgo Cluster of galaxies.  It is classified as type Sbc spiral galaxy.

With a string of clear nights here in the Northwest US, I've been able to train my scope on many galaxy targets recently.  Due to my geographic location, and my backyard (house obscuring most of the southern latitudes), I have very few nights where I can take advantage of capturing many of these beautiful galaxies.  Unfortunately my own house blocks out all but maybe 1 or 2 hours worth of visibility for many in the Virgo Cluster.
