Description

This image is the sum of approximately 910 60 secs unguided subs. Some were imaged at bin 1 and some at bin 2.

I have solved the problem of black images download that made me collect images in bin2 on the 4th and bin1 on the 5th but still the huge gradient problem, probably due to the coma corrector, still exists. New coma corrector on the way. Because of this gradient background is horrible and that obliged me not to increase image stretching.

NGC 4565  - also known as the Needle Galaxy or Caldwell 38 - is an edge-on spiral galaxy about 30 to 50 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It lies close to the North Galactic Pole and has a visual magnitude of approximately 10. It is known as the Needle Galaxy for its narrow profile. First recorded in 1785 by William Herschel, it is a prominent example of an edge-on spiral galaxy. (Wikipedia)
