Description

According to Virtual Moon Atlas, the Montes Alpes averages 2,4 km high. One of them, Mont Blanc, reaches 3,6 km high. On the upper left, there is Vallis Alpes; and running inside of it, there is Rima Vallis Alpes, a 700 m wide rille.

Crop from a mosaic; images were from 30 to 60 s captures at gain 615. The sharpening was done through deconvolution, with the star Spica as PSF.
