Description

Venus, Mercury, and Mars at sunset near Lake Orange, FL (January 16, 2015). From here, Mercury will be headed downward to meet with the Sun in a couple of weeks, while Venus heads upward to meet with Mars around February 21. On February 20th, there will be a tiny sliver of moon (5% illuminated) right next to Venus and Mars just after sunset on the eastern horizon. All three will be VERY close together and should make for a fantastic sight with gear or even the naked eye! Can't wait!

(In this shot, Venus and Mercury are at the bottom middle, while Mars is above the big tree and to the right)
