Description

Near perfect skies again. Decided to lengthen some subs to 210s. Seems like Lovejoy's tail was longer (brighter) but less structure over the previous night. Still waiting for a significant outburst. Maybe soon?

Version "D" composite shows Lovejoy on 5 consective nights with near perfect skies. Each night the comet became more visible naked eye although one had to know where to look for it. Its close transit past 2nd magnitude star Almach in Andromeda helped. In binoculars, Lovejoy's tail was visible but considerably shorter than these 20 minute daily exposures reveal. The bottom of this image shows that my final day's capture was not overlapping with previous nights; thus the reason for the darker band. I provided a 2nd image to show more contrast.

The final version "E" is a raw sequence from Feb 5 to Feb 10 (Left to Right). Scaling and contrast set closest to the same values for each day's image.
