Description

M101 is a spiral galaxy about 21 million lightyears away. Its diameter is about 170 thousand lightyears. That compares to a diameter of about 100 thousand lightyears for our own Milky Way Galaxy, which is also a spiral galaxy. M101 is believed to contain at least a trillion stars.

This is the first picture I've completed since I got the iOptron CEM40 and the second since I got the ZWO ASI2600MC.
