This image is the sum of 1013 60 secs unguided subs taken during the nights of the 6th and 4th of September 2021 from my home terrace. Setup is as follow:

Canon 70-200 F4 lens at 100 FL - Asi 533 - Optolong L-Extreme - Ioptron Smart EQ

No darks and flats were taken - Aquisition with Astroart 7 - processing with PS (Crop, curves, noise reduction). I think that this type of subjects are very good for the L-Extreme filter.

NGC 7822 is a young star forming complex in the constellation of Cepheus. The complex encompasses the emission region designated Sharpless 171, and the young cluster of stars named Berkeley 59. The complex is believed to be some 800–1000 pc distant, with the younger components aged no more than a few million years (wikipedia)

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
