Description

The Sombrero Galaxy is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Virgo located approximately 31 million light-years from Earth. It has a diameter of about 50,000 light-years, or about 30% that of our Milky Way Galaxy. The central dark dust lane and the bulging halo gives it the appearance of a Sombrero.
