Description

IC417 An unusual hydrogen emission nebula from an area with several other notable objects. The flaming star and the Tadpoles are close neighbors.  A hotbed of star formation with an unusual projection to the left, that appears to be part of a wall that only part of which is ionized. The brighter portion of the nebula appears to be erroding from stellar winds.
