Description

This is a narrow band image where I have added false colour to the sulphur and hydrogen emissions. I saw this colour palette on Astrobin fell in love with it, and tried to re-create it as best I could.
Sulphur data is red and Hydrogen was allocated to green and blue to make a colour image.
The Horsehead nebula is a dark nebula located in the constellation of Orion near Orion‘s belt. It is a very dramatic part of space, and an object that is not really visible visually but very obvious photographically. And who knew that the nearby reflection nebula full of sulfur, and therefore red in my image!! Shot December 13th C11 0.7x Reducer 1960mm focal length ASI2600MM camera Astronomik Halpha and Sulphur filters 174mm guide camera
