Description

NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula, is one of the more popular deep sky objects for amateur imagers.  The bright open cluster M52 lies nearby.  After imaging the Bubble with my C11 EdgeHD several years ago, I decided to shoot it a second time with the 100 mm refractor.  I haven't used the EdgeHD since June because of ridiculously wet/humid weather in my area.  I couldn't keep the dew off the corrector plate if I sat there with a heated dew shield and a hairdryer all night.  The refractor did an admirable job, but the field of view was a bit too wide to frame the Bubble well, so I split the project into three images.

I will soon go back to imaging galaxies, but it looks like the refractor is going to do the bulk of the work this year due to the water condensation problems.
