Description

The stars in this asterism form the distinct shape mainly due their angular alignment.  First described by Persian astronomers by naked eye in the 10th century AD and later again in the 17th century before being cataloged in a variable star catalogue by Brocchi in the 1920's.  The Hipparcos satellite proved that the association wasn't in fact a true cluster.  Most of the associated brighter stars are blue with three an orangish colour, there is not a tremendous contrast difference between the colours of these stars.
