Description

One of the densest concentrations of stars visible in binoculars or a small telescope, the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud was originally catalogued as M24 by Messier in 1764. As well as innumerable stars, the cloud contains the open cluster NGC6603, the two dark nebulae Barnard 92 and 93 as well as planetary and emission nebulae.
