Description

A rather anonymous patch of sky chosen for being fairly star-rich, in the right patch of sky at the right time. There is an open cluster in the centre, nothing spectacular but a bit of colour contrast with the RGB.

I think I overcooked it with an additional 0.5mm, need to drop it back a bit. The biggest problem that' very apparent in single subs is tilt from the compression fitting on the Moonlite CF focuser and the undercut on the TSOptics reducer. Not an issue I have with the Hotech SCA flattener as it doesn't need the compression fitting.

The Moonlite 2.5" CFL focuser would let me swap to a fully screwed image train but add significant weight that I don't want to deal with. It's not as obvious in the stacks so I may just have to put up with it for the time being with the reducer - I could have had the same issue with the flattener as well so could be worse....
