Description

This is a wide field shot of the Bubble Nebula and Messier 52.

The Bubble Nebula is an emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopea. The bubble is caused by the stellar wind from the massive hot central star, which also excites the gases a nearby molecular cloud, causing it to glow.

M52 is and open star cluster in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is between 3000 and 7000 light years from Earth.
