Description

Nestled at the foot of Mt. Baker in the North Cascades, Baker Lake is a beautiful and serene sight covering over 4800 acres. From nearby Mt. Shuksan the lake and its mountain dominate the scenery. This data was taken after a five hour ascent to the foot of the Sulfide Glacier where we made camp at approximately 6200 feet, prior to a summit ascent the following day. The twilight colors reflected off of the water's surface and extended into the sky illuminating the rows of mountains that sink into the distance. Saturn is seen on its trek though Sagittarius. With a full moon rising early in the evening I had to gather data as early as I could. Skies were perfectly clear.
