Description

The same data as my previous rendition. There were some things I wasn't really satisfied with so I had to redo it !!
With thanks to Marcel Drechsler for his valuable tips.

C&C most welcome.

I usually do a bit off research on my targets, so hereby a very short introduction:Sharpless 188 (Sh2-188, Simeis 22) sometimes called the  Dolphin Nebula. First photographed in 1965, and initially thought to be a supernova remnant. However, this is an unusual planetary nebula, in the Northern constellation off Cassiopeia, 700 - 850 light-years from earth. It has a nearly circular shape, and is much brighter in the SouthEast (lower left jn My image, North is up). The rapidly moving central star is creating a bow shock in that direction, interacting with the surrounding interstellar medium. This PN got my interest many years ago when I saw Steve Cannistra’s image from 2006 (link below). And I was kinda curious to see what I could ‘catch’ with my modest setup in polluted skies.http://www.starrywonders.com/sh2188.htmlFor further reading:http://www.starrywonders.com/sh2188.htmlhttp://annesastronomynews.com/photo-gallery-ii/nebulae-clouds/sh2-188/
