Description

Well, I am gradually getting used to this new scope 5.1" refractor, and its smaller field of view will be very useful for the up and coming galaxy season, hopefully. I know the stars are a bit misshapen on this, but I have worked out what to do now to solve this - he says! This was 65 subs at 5 minutes long each, right near a very bright moon. To give you an idea of what this meant - I could barely see the 'cap' of the jellyfish on the individual subs let alone any other parts to this nebula, so I was surprised how much detail was there after stacking. I also cheated - I cropped out the bright star! I could not be bothered to try and fix that as I am no good with bright stars... Anyway, this works out at an integration time of 5 hours and 25 minutes. I found it tough to process, but maybe on a moonless night, on another day, with some more imaging time, things may fair better. I am beginning to enjoy this new scope. Thanks everyone...
