Description

This is one of 250  SER files taken over a 4 hour period....the stack will be used for a Time Lapse.  Sharpcap was the acquisition software - The Quark Chromosphere (Daystar Instruments) the L3 IR/UV ERF attached to an AstroTech 65EDQ refractor.   I call it a poor man's solar setup.

The  500 frame SER file was stacked into a TIFF file in Autostakkert - keeping 15 percent of the frames.   ImPPG was used for deconvolution and exposing both the flares as well as suns surface.   Photoshop was used to turn the sky black - revealing the flares as well as adding edits using Camera RAW filtering. (Clarity, Texture, White Point, Black Point, Curves for coloring, and sharpening)

The time lapse will be processed much differently - PixInsight will be used for the heavy lifting - linear fit - cropping, coloring, curves adjustments, saturation.   The history explorer will be used to provide the edits for the Process Container and the processes will be applied to all of the images in batch using the Imaging Container.    With the exception, Linear Fit (to match exposures from frame to frame) will use the Batch Linear Fit Script.

This imaging run was done live on my youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@nightskyimaging/streams
