Description

Located in the constellation of Sculptor, NGC 300 is 6 million light-years away. The light in this photo left that galaxy 4 million years before the first humans evolved on Earth.

The galaxy is over 90,000 light-years in across, which means it is slightly smaller than our Milky Way galaxy.

I wanted to focus on the star forming regions in the galaxy, seen as red emission nebulae.
