Description

In attempt to image the Devil's Tower last night, I discovered that my CQ350 doesn't appear to like tracking more than 6hr over (i.e. below the pole).  It tended to leap back-and-forth in RA by about 8-10arcsec every 5-10mins or so.  Leaving full diagnosis for another time, I moved onto the Gabriela Mistral nebula, and managed 2 hours of [OIII] and Ha in 85% moon before the cloud rolled.  I didn't expect much from the data, but processed it nonetheless and was pleasantly surprised with the result.

In Foraxx HOO the field really shines, with a great range of colours, without the profile of the Chilean poet (although I think it looks less Mistral and more Hitchcock) not ending up too blue from too much oxygen.  The outline of the nebula edge is splendidly represented in yellow, with the Eta Carina nebula to the SW resplendent in contrasting oranges and deep wispy blues.
