Description

This is from the Grand Canyon Star Party a couple of weeks ago. Yes, I am waaay behind in my processing. Anyway, this is M92, a nice globular cluster in Hercules. It doesn't seem to have a name and usually gets overlooked in favor of its neighbor M13, the Hercules cluster. It's about 26,700 light years away from us and is actually one of the oldest globs in our galaxy at about 11 billion years. Its diameter is around 109 ly, and it's supposed to have about 330,000 stars.
