Description

This supernova remnant, [aka HB3] sits just west [actually WNW] of the point of the Heart Nebula, where the Fish Head Nebula [IC 1795] resides. Likely the star exploded between 27,000 and 33,000 years ago. Very faint, it required lots of hours on fast scopes.
