Description

The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex is one of the closest star-forming regions to our solar system. It is called like that since it is centered in the star ρ Ophiuchi in the Ophiuchus constellation (top blue cloud).

Really cool colors going on in here with all the different nebula. Antares (in the orange cloud) is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and can be seen as well as most of the other ones from the complex. The complex can be seen pretty close to the Milky Way core, in a way it feels like it is escaping from it.

This shows how good quality dark skies you get in La Palma, Canary Islands 😍.
