Description

M45 is not the most exotic target these days but I have never imaged it and the Seven sisters are quite pretty. So here they are ...

Transparency in recent days was not perfect, too much moisture in the air. Also my TS Imaging Star, in combination with the small pixels and larger chip of the ASI2600, may come to its limits as stars near the edges start to show some artefacts. Anyway, that's the gear that I have and I have to make the best out of it.

80 x 60sec of each RGB channels and 180x60sec for luminance. Standard LRGB processing.

I tried to push the background to reveal more of the dust but then noise and other artefacts begin to show. Considering my Bortle 6 sky I am kind of pleased with the result. Hope you think the same.

CS, Volker
