Description

The Crescent Nebula, in constellation Cignus, is a giant gaseous shell created by powerful winds blowing from the massive star HD 192163 ( a Wolf-Rayet star) visible near the center of the nebula itself. To the right side is clearly visible a wide nebulosity highlighted by the Ha filter.

This narrowband composition image(bicolour palette) was obtained from images taken with a Takahashi Toa 150, Apo refractor, F/7,3 located in Nerpio-Spain (Itelescope network T16 System).
