Description

Hi Starfriends,
The comet was imaged on March 13, 2014 by Cristóvão Jacques Lage de Faria, Eduardo Pimentel and João Ribeiro de Barros in CCD images taken with the Southern Observatory for Near Earth Asteroids Research (SONEAR) 0.45 m reflecting telescope in discovered near Oliveira (Minas Gerais) in Brazil. At that time the comet was in the constellation Centaurus and had a brightness of 14.7 mag. (Wikipedia)

At the time of recording, the comet had a visual magnitude of 7. The distance from the sun was: 193,985 million km. The distance from the earth was: 85,210 million km.

My image has been completely reworked. I used the comment processing in AstroPixelProcessor (APP). I also included more images in my editing. The original edit no longer exists.

- the image is slightly rotated and slightly cropped

Thank you for watching and stay healthy!

Wolfgang
