Description

This is a reflection and dark nebula in the constellation Scorpius not far from the Rho Ophiuchi molecular cloud complex. It is about 40 light years across and 420 light years away from us looking toward the centre of the Milky Way. I took this over three straight nights from my backyard in west Auckland in Bortle 5 skies using a 61mm refractor.
